Constanta’s citizens have now the most modern infrastructure for separate collection

JANUARY 2016 - Green Group in collaboration with Carrefour Romania launched the first intelligent waste collection stations based on rewards, inside SIGUREC Carrefour Constanta city parking lot.

SIGUREC is the most modern solution for selective collection that currently exist in Romania, having integrated an intelligent and automated waste disposal system and software that keeps track of each waste introduced.

Constanta’s citizens can bring to SIGUREC over 10 types of recyclable materials, from plastic packaging, glass containers or aluminum cans, to paper, board electronic equipment, lamps, light bulbs and batteries. All waste collected by SIGUREC system goes directly into the recycling factories in Romania.

SIGUREC devices offer rewards for waste brought thus releasing shopping discount vouchers, available in Carrefour hypermarkets. Discounts are calculated from the following benchmarks: 5 bani / PET, 3 bani / 1 aluminum dose, 1 ban / a jar or glass packaging, 15 bani / kilogram of paper or cardboard. For electronics, the value per kilogram varies according to the type of WEEE brought. 40 money / kilogram and 9.7 lei / kilogram.

All collected materials are transported to SIGUREC strategic partners, such as the most important recycling factories in Romania as follows:  Greentech S.A, Greenweee International S.A., Green Lamp Recycling S.A, Greenglass Recycling S.A., Romcarbon S.A., ECOPAPER S.A, AMEP and others.

SIGUREC Constanta collection station is part of a project co - funded by the Norwegian Government through the Norwegian Grants. The project is implemented by Total Waste Management, one of Green Group’s members and managed by Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Government's most important instrument of development of Norwegian industry and businesses.
